About the Academy
We are pleased to announce the 15th annual John Muir Academy will be held at the Verona High School in Verona, WI.
The John Muir Academy is part of the Wisconsin Academy Staff Development Initiative. The success of students is the goal of the John Muir Academy. This can best be achieved through inservicing and training of their teachers that promotes problem solving, development of higher level and creative thinking skills and experiential learning in math, science, technology and other areas. It also demonstrates an effective regional business partnership with education. Keeping this in mind, the Academy has been designed, planned and delivered by the John Muir Academy Board of Directors and staff, Viterbo University and Edgewood College. It is Standards/Assessment and Research based, with teachers experiencing the 'Best Practices' in their chosen workshop.
