Thank you to everyone that made the 2007 John Muir Academy a success! Oregon High School provided great facilities and support for our Academy. This year we are concentrating on one site, and relocating to the Verona High School. We are working with Linda Christensen, Director of Curriculum & Instruction, to provide our participants with a wonderful experience in 2008. Please take a few minutes and read the following comments we received from some of the participants that attended the 2007 Academy. "Jeff (Horney - New Media Web Pages for Classroom Learning) is an excellent instructor! He gets around to every teacher and he helps them learn what they want/need to learn."
"Laurie Holmquist (If You're Going to Teach Writing, You Have to Take This Course) is a phenomenal teacher. Beg her to teach again!"
"LOVED, LOVED this workshop (Guided Reading: Teaching Reading in the Primary Classroom)! It was very informative, fun, and engaging. I learned alot!! Becky Hoyt was awesome!"
"Velvet Holmes (www.elementaryintegration.com) is an exceptional instructor. She is very knowledgeable and attends to the needs of each student."
"Marilyn Sharrow (Differentiation: You Can Do It!) was an excellent instructor. I have not had this much fun learning a new concept. I learned a lot and I'm leaving excited to implement what I have learned."
"I highly recommend this workshop (The Love and Logic Classroom) to all teachers. Dave Funk is highly knowledgeable and brings light and humor to a sometimes heavy topic."
"John Muir Workshops are awesome! I plan to take more workshops in the future. See you next year!"
